Writing Politics and Piety on Women's Bodies: A Study of the Duppatta Debate in Pakistan

Sabah Firoz Uddin (Merrimack College) was a 2015 AIPS Short-Term Research Grant awardee who collected "data through archival historical research (Citizens Archive of Pakistan), media analysis and informal participatory interviews with local Pakistani designers, social bloggers and fashion journalists." Uddin's project sought to explore the connections between culture and dress in Pakistan.
