Ateeb Ahmed was a 2017-18 AIPS Fellow and conducted research in Pakistan for two months. Ahmed "traces the economic, political and legal strategies adopted by the Pakistan military in order to practice urban development and their effects on local communities."
Maira Hayat was a 2015-2016 AIPS Fellow and conducted research in London for five months. Hayat's "research on the origins of the canal colonies and the specificities of irrigation water distribution in Pakistan’s Punjab aims to contribute to scholarship on agriculture in Pakistan."
Suneel Kumar was a 2019 AIPS Short-Term Research Grant awardee and conducted research on the Indus River and delta for two months. Kumar collected data through traveling to different creeks, villages, working with fishermen and interviewing multiple government and non-government officials.
