Elliot Montpellier was a 2021 AIPS Short-Term Research Grant awardee and conducted research in Karachi, Pakistan for one month. Montpellier's work " focuses on Pakistani television dramas, examining how this entertainment genre uses religion as a discursive and visual theme."
